Learn the songs you love.
Private in-person guitar lessons with Robbie Hancock
Now accepting adult students for Mondays and Tuesdays. Beginners welcome!
Have you always wanted to play guitar? Have a guitar sitting at home waiting to be picked up again? Or perhaps you already play and want some help moving forward?
Let’s start with the music you love.
Your lessons are built around your musical interests, experience, and goals. Whether it’s your first few chords or a song you’ve wanted to play for years, we’ll work through it together at a pace that works for you.

Your music. Your goals.
Learning guitar should be something you look forward to. Working on songs you enjoy gives you a reason to pick up your guitar and keep practising.
Through those songs, we can work on:
- Chords and smoother chord changes
- Strumming patterns, rhythm, and timing
- Fingerpicking and melodies
- Singing while playing
- Understanding the music you’re playing
- Writing your own songs
You don’t need any previous experience. Come with a willingness to learn and a few songs you’d love to play.
A patient, personal approach
Hi, I’m Robbie Hancock. Teaching has always been about sharing my love of music and helping people discover what they can do.
I know that starting something new, or returning after a long break, can feel intimidating. My approach is encouraging, practical, and focused on helping you enjoy the process.
We’ll break songs into manageable steps, build on what you already know, and give you clear things to practise between lessons.
In-person lessons on Mondays and Tuesdays
I’m currently welcoming adult students for private, one-on-one guitar lessons in Courtenay, serving the Comox Valley.
Tell me a little about your experience, the songs you’d like to learn, and your preferred Monday or Tuesday lesson times. I’ll reply with availability, pricing, and the next steps.
